Crackdown yet again aimed at Chinese network gear currently used by Indian telecom sector:

Now Airtel Huawei OLT be get ripped, no more hiding :sleepy2:
Vi is using huawei RAN in Chennai for their towers they're yet to swap it with Nokia. Airtel already swapped huawei 4G RAN with ericsson hardware and for broadband they migrated to Nokia from Huawei I think

Broadband works provided by this telco still uses Huawei some way or the other. I guess GoI wants removal in totality

What about Kerala? Still on Huawei?

Customers leaving Vi and you expect them to change overnight. Not possible. Vi is just not interested in Bangalore and Chennai customers, as @RummaanKhan mentioned it already.

Ericsson is a premium hardware maker, right? So better performance with Ericsson?
It's actually opposite once ericsson took over airtel signal quality took hit. Hardware is premium it supports inter site CA and all but optimization is sh#t. Not sure whether it's airtel's fault. Airtel have some losses due to huawei swap because it's a double investment for them. They have swapped the hardware which was already working well. So they are doing severe cost cutting in optimization itseems.

That’s sad
Me and friend used to think that Ercissons premium hardware is helping Airtel with optimised 5G

Now when i got 5G sim , during peak times Airtel 5G drops to 25mbps

Meanwhile Jio 5G won’t go below 250mbps even during peak hours
