But again there is a long tussle between Alliance and Wishnet, typical LCO based. That is why and how Jio/Airtel fiber entered into state market taking advantage of internal broadband fights. Anyways atleast these local ISPs are realizing it now.
Same is happening in Mumbai. @Koji got good plan because of that. And Hathway/Jeebr/One more I forgot the name are doing just fine after scrapping internal fights. There must be many more, but these are good ones from his area. Service has became top notch. Navi Mumbai providers should focus on more speeds in order to survive, their service was never an issue.

The ITU-APT Foundation of India (IAFI) has urged the Central government to delicense the lower portion of the 6GHz band – 5925–6425 MHz – to support next-generation WiFi connectivity in the country and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.

hathway resolved their speed issues by rolling out fibre and offering 300mbps for 800Rs a month by late 2022
then there is vortex netsol ,which is basically excitel of Mumbai since they are offering 400mbps under 1000Rs

7 star broadband used to double or triple speeds every year during Ganesh Chaturthi in Andheri west

I remember back in 2015 they were offering 10mbps unlimited and up to 50mbps unlimited connections, at a time when Airtel maxed out with 16mbps plans in high-end societies

later by 2017
7 star broadband doubled speeds again and now reaching like 70-100mbps plans

by 2023
7 star was offering 300mbps plans in Andheri west

Now in 2025 they unofficially do have 1gbps plans in my building

I'm glad to have 200mbps for 1000Rs for 30 days a month ,I was ready to pay 1000Rs to Airtel for there 40mbps plan if they gave an option to get 3.3tb, but they didn't ,anyway its there loss.

Maybe they are trying to tell the Govt that oh villagers would benefit from MLO or something and maybe Govt would then agree

because all these years, how dare people living in cities have a comfortable Wi-Fi experience😠😠

What's 1Gbps tariff?

Hathway and Jeebr has improved services in western line for sure. No idea about vortex Netsol. There was one provider, on which many Tata subscribers shifted, I don't know name.
