Hoststar vs Jio cinema not comparable here as Jio cinema is a newbie in Sports streaming as no OTT/data user knows Jio cinema have Cricket streaming, but every usrer knows Hotstar have cricket centric streaming of every tournament from last 7 years.
It's known OTT and Freebie lost venture if you streaming own content every week without subscription, beside sports Jio cinema streaming 100cr to 200cr budget movies/contents which not even recover 99% of budget. Today they released Bloody daddy which cost around 150 to 200 Crores. Losses growing up every month. Don't know how these experts saying long term investment/plan which collaboration short term movies as studio partner.
 
Don't get the point of making TV user to even pay free content even without any trial.

Its known for Cinemas, not known for Sports streaming, it was just started sports streaming with FIFA world cup 2022.

Its well known that movie studios inflate costs of production to money launder.

If its actual money they are putting to such below par bollywood movies and shows, then its their problem and not the problem of the people.

Disney+ Hotstar has also enabled free streaming for tablets.

Making the Asia Cup and ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup available to a wider audience, we believe, will help us grow the overall eco-system,” said Sajith Sivanandan, Head of Disney+ Hotstar.

I don't think anyone even understands what Mota Bhai is trying to do here but he will come out on top as usual.

He has largest e retail store for electronic gadgets.

Broadcasting and cable TV service viewership declined as per their own HQ data, which backfired still they running they should shut down satellite TV Broadcasting and sale out acquired these cable service properties to some other cable providers in market.

They acquired major MSOs to pass Jio fiber to corners, not for command in Cable TV. Satellite tv viewrship was declined due to TRAI's NTO.
