I believe the different govt's are doing their image PR by declaring the journalists as Front line workers.Why a banker or a person who has to go to office everyday since his work comes under essential services can't be Frontline worker even though work wise his job is essential for society.It's cheap PR gimmick in my opinion.

It's 2 weeks. I called states COVID helpline and confirmed day before yesterday.

I believe bankers doesn't have to visit multiple places, be out all day at ground or visit any crowded places. Meanwhile a journalist have to do everything that I mentioned. Banker can go to his office by car get sanitized before entering. Get sanitized before leaving and still be safe. So it's not fair to compare journalist with bankers.

I'm not saying journalists should not be given preference but bankers should also be given front line status. The Govt Bank where my Dad works literally everyone is infected with covid 19 right now and most of them are in their 50s and they have to deal with public too.

Yes, actually. Everyone who is working out during the lockdowns needs to get vaccinated on priority basis.

Banker are doing public services, Country can not run if the banks are closed for a longer period.
But what journalist are doing, they are just promoting their political parties. So this declaration of journalist as FLW is just a political apprise

My company lost 25 people in just last 1 month to Covid at just 1 location.I am not even counting the number of people who got infected which will probably run into 4 digits.I work at a place where more than 300 people in a day daily come into direct contact with me.There are numerous vendors,subcontractors and other work center who come for discussion with me.Tell me how safe i am?
