Discussion Internet slow down in India during Coronavirus (Covid-19)

I see many people on twitter complaining about very low internet speed..am also facing very slow internet speed in jio ..does anyone else facing same ??..i guess this might be because of high traffic or government is slowing down internet intentionally to stop spread of false news on internet

As people are staying inside home usually the traffic go high. That may be the reason.
I don't think Govt. made any actions to slow down internet. On the other hand some states already asked companies to increase bandwidth for entertaining 'Work at home'.

I am from South Maharashtra. Here, Airtel 4G is definitely slow. BSNL 3G+ has become too slow to use. BSNL Broadband speed has drastically reduced.

But here my Jio Network speed has improved up to 2X from last 3,4 days. Kerala Govt. had asked Telecom Operators to increase bandwidth to reduce the speed issues due to heavy traffic. Myself is a village area. it seems traffic doesn't went much high, So getting better speed than earlier.

Okay, post exhaustion. Websites were still browsable on Jio which doesn't happen atleast for me. But downloading speed has ridiculously slowed down. Even after midnight downloads were slow.

Yes, internet speeds are drastically down, I'm using BSNL FTTH 50 Mbps, even though Ookla speed test is showing around 40 to 45 Mbps, watching OTT apps and news has become a nightmare. Donno what's happening.
