For all those people who think bad about Vaccines, let me share my uncle's personal experience. Very TRUE and not fabricated one.Meanwhile I am unable to convince most people in my family from getting vaccinated. Let alone others. They still think it's not safe. How will we achieve herd immunity?
My uncle is 58 years old. He is second younger brother of my mother. He WAS a chain smoker, having lungs not in good condition obviously. He is type 2 diabetic patient with sugar level around 499 (way too high). He has gone through Angioplasty for his heart in Sep 2020. He is obese as well, wanted to try walk daily in morning, but never done continuously for single week. But he got both the doses in time. Later part of this April, his two sons came back from Chennai for WFH and brought the Covid-19 with them. He and his sons got infection (yes, after vaccination). But my uncle recovered after just 2 days of slight fever and tiredness. In fact he is the one who came out and brought food, medicines and daily needs without any issues at that time.
Friends, just imagine, if the vaccine is working good for 58 yo + obese + dangerously diabetic + had recently undergone operation for Heart + ex-chain smoker (now normal smoker), guess how well it will be for person with clean habits like me and you.
Yes, you may feel tired after vaccination upto max 2 days. That is true for any vaccination (remember the day you vaccinate your baby and their crying + tiredness for that day or another). Just say the medicines you are taking to the Dr during vaccination. Some recommend to stop taking medicines during the few days of vaccination (same in his case).
What I guess is, the medicine you take regularly for say diabetes / pressure / heart and vaccine may not mix well and MAY give side-effect during vaccination. Just consult your Dr and go for it.
