Not everyone has BSL 4 facility. Haffkine was given order to produce covishield a while back. It will take them until september to start producing it. Cant hurry up. Even in usa, when johnsons tried to hasten it up, mix up led to wastage of 15 million doses and they still have no idea how it happened.

This whole vaccination management is colossal f**kup from central government thinking that Indians have some kind of natural immunity to corona virus.When they had cases on lower side they should have amassed vaccines instead of donating it to every other country.Secondly,State governments behaved like lower cadre sarkari babus who wait for big boss's instruction to even fart.No one asked for vaccines in month of January and February when people were no dying in masses.

Don't shoot me for asking this. Can we ask China to produce vaccines for us? Only they are the only country that can scale up such mass production. They want to improve geopolitical relationship with us. As world has been demonizing them since the outbreak. We have had been acting positive towards them until the aggression at the border.

Our Vaccine or theirs?Their vaccine is well dubious at best.Again i think India's problem is not the lack of manufacturers but a lack of willpower to do the things .No manufacturer unless it is govt. itself will do invest in making necessary arrangements for vaccine manufacturing if it doesn't gets you a sure order and profit for business.The condition here is that if the manufacturer increases the price by Rs 10 also the liberal jamaat will come on streets to protest against it without thinking twice.Our problem from beginning has been that we want best of everything but at free of cost.

By the way a casual glance at the vaccination slots is making me think that outside the big cities people are still very casual about vaccination provided the vaccine availability slots in CoWin app is correct.There are slots and dosage available across all hospitals on almost every day in smaller cities.People have still not woken up if this data is correct

It wouldn't hurt if we allow more vaccine players in the market. Let private sectors also run a parrarel vaccination program. For those who can afford can have get expensive shots from the foreign companies. I was speaking about our native vaccine. I don't think we have authority over managing the manufacturing of Covishield.

I think only the existing vaccine players would enter the Indian market now.If i am right Pfizer and Moderna have their hands tied with US and EU orders.With existing setup i don't think they can cater to Indian market.

There is Johnson & Johnson's one shot vaccine. I don't know which deal you are talking about. I don't think there was any such collaboration between Moderna and Pfizer.
