Everything doesn't require an option. I guess it's wise not to explain here how does users get ONT or STB replaced but I am aware that many users have done it before and I won't be the first or last one.
Airtel is better when there is no LCO model. Expensive from other small local FTTH players but hardly any downtime in major cities.
OTT wise, Jio is better.

Before installing the connection, my only concern was the cabling done by the LCO - he used normal thin fiber cables for the mainline (that goes inside the FAT box for splicing). I guess it's 4 or 6 core fiber.
On the other side, JioFiber uses 12 or 24 core fiber cables for their mainline I think. They are very thick.
So I was afraid whether I will get speed as per the plan or it will turn terrible like Railwire Broadband speeds but fortunately, so far it's been working well with no downtime or random slowness observed. I think Airtel's OLT is doing wonders.
It is worth watching how the connection performs after a few months or a year when there are other users apart from me in the area and the bandwidth gets divided.
