Apple has launched the latest seventh generation iPad (2019), bringing in more screen area and support for the full-sized Smart Keyboard. It is available to order online and will be available in stores from 30th September.
This upgraded iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina display, Apple Pencil support, the A10 Fusion chip, advanced cameras, and sensors. Apple Pencil can be purchased separately for INR 8,500.
The new 10.2-inch Retina display iPad has nearly 3.5 million pixels and a wide viewing angle, immersive augmented reality (AR) experiences using enhanced cameras and advanced sensors. The A10 Fusion chip brings faster performance for powerful multitasking and smooth gameplay.
The Retina Display of this iPad has a resolution of 2160×1620 pixels, a pixel density of 264ppi, and 500-nit peak brightness. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.4 aperture and 1.2-megapixel front camera with an f/0.2 aperture.
For portability and durability iPad (2019) weighs about one pound (454g) and for the first time features an enclosure made from 100% recycled aluminium. This iPad comes with ultra-fast wireless performance and supports Gigabit-class LTE connectivity, delivering three times faster cellular data connections.
The new seventh-generation iPad comes in silver, space grey and gold finishes in 32GB and 128GB configurations. iPad starts at INR 29,900 for the Wi-Fi model and INR 40,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model and is available through Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers.
The new seventh-generation iPad will ship with the brand new iPad OS that is slated to release later this month. The iPad OS will also be rolled out to the iPad models starting iPad Air 2, all iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 4 and later.
