Amazon India has launched the Echo Buds 2nd generation in the country about a year after its introduction. The earphones offer features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), hands-free Alexa support and wireless charging.

The Echo Buds 2nd generation Truly Wireless earphones are powered by 5.7mm speaker drivers. They have an RTL8763C Bluetooth System on Chip (SoC) with integrated Audio Codec and NXP Digital Signal Processor.
It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and is compatible with devices running on Android 6.0 or iOS 12 and above operating system. There is also ANC support powered by an advanced chipset to cancel background noise and provide an immersive audio experience.
The active noise cancellation can be deactivated through Pass through mode that lets you hear ambient noises. These buds are designed for comfortable fit and Amazon also has an Ear Tip Fit Test for users during the initial setup process to help them determine which tip will be most comfortable for them.
Echo Buds 2nd generation comes with four ear tips. The buds are IPX4 rated for splash and sweat resistance. It has an enhanced dynamic range that enables it to play crisp and clear music without distortion. After being paired with a smartphone, they support both Siri and Google assistant.
It has tap controls to play/pause, skip tracks, enable/disable ANC and more that can be configured or customized via the Alexa app. The app can also be used to directly make calls, stream music, play podcasts, listen to Audible audiobooks, etc.
Coming to the battery backup, these buds can last up to five hours on a single charge with both ANC and Alexa enabled. The charging case stores battery backup of up to 15 hours. Amazon says with 15-minute quick charge users will get up to 2 hours of music playback. The wireless option can be charged with compatible Qi-certified wireless charging pads and there is a Type-C port for regular charging.
Pricing and Availability
The Amazon Echo Buds 2nd generation TWS earbuds with regular wired charging is priced at Rs 11,999 while the wireless charging-supported variant comes with a price tag of Rs 13,999 and they are available to purchase online through Amazon. The company is also offering a Rs 1,000 limited period discount on both variants.
