Bharti Airtel earlier today announced the consolidated financial results for the quarter ending December 31, 2020. Airtel’s Homes business segment witnessed the highest ever customer addition at 215K during Q3 FY 21. Airtel Xstream Fiber now has a subscriber base of 2.79 million at the end of Q3 FY 21, up from 2.58 million at the end of Q2 FY 21 witnessing an 8.3 percent Q-o-Q growth. Airtel’s Homes business segment in Q2 FY 21 had witnessed 129K customer additions.
Airtel’s Homes business segment saw ARPU settle down at Rs 703 at Q3 FY 21 end, down from Rs 783 at Q2 FY 21 end. Total revenue from Homes segment was Rs 5,674 million while EBDITA stood at Rs 3,151 million. The company’s cumulative investments in its Homes business stood at Rs 94,049 million at Q3 FY 21 end.
The company during the quarter launched the Gigabit Wi-Fi experience allowing Airtel Xstream Fiber users to enjoy 1 Gbps data speeds over Wi-Fi. Airtel Xstream Fiber’s Rs 3999 plan now offers a complimentary 1 Gbps Wi-Fi router to go with unlimited data quota and massive bundled content. The highly advanced 4×4 WiFi router enables seamless 1 Gbps Wi-Fi coverage across Homes and Small Offices.
At the end of 2021, Airtel had its Homes business in 219 cities including LCO tieups with the company accelerating LCO partnerships in non-wired cities taking the LCO partnership model live in over 120 cities.
