With companies continuing to majorly working from home and study from home continuing due to the prolonged shutdown of educational institutions, internet bandwidth has become a necessity. While home broadband has seen rise in consumption, private telecom operators had earlier brought in Work From Home prepaid plans for its mobile customers.
BSNL has now followed suit to launch its own Work From Home prepaid plan which is available on a pan India basis. Let’s us have a look at all the Work From Home prepaid plan provided by the telecom operators.
Reliance Jio
Reliance Jio offers three Work From Home packs bearing 30 days validity priced at Rs 151, Rs 201, and Rs 251. The Work From Home packs offer bulk data without any daily data cap. The packs only offer data benefits without any calling benefits.
Rs 151 Work From Home pack offers 30 GB unlimited data, Rs 201 Work From Home pack offers 40 GB unlimited data, and Rs 251 Work From Home pack offers 50 GB unlimited data. The post FUP speed is capped at 64 Kbps.
Vodafone Idea
Vodafone Idea offers only one Work From Home pack at Rs 251. The Rs 251 Work From Home pack offers 50 GB data with a service validity of 28 days. The data benefits are in bulk without any daily data cap.
Bharti Airtel
Bharti Airtel offers only one Work From Home pack at Rs 251. The Rs 251 Work From Home pack offer 50 GB data without any daily data. The bulk data benefit however doesn’t have standalone validity with validity coterminous with that of the base pack. The pack is applicable for Active Bundle and Smart Pack users only.
BSNL
BSNL recently launched its Work From Home plan at Rs 599 which offers data benefits with daily data cap unlike other telecom operators who are offering bulk data plan.
BSNL’s STV 599 offers unlimited free voice calling and national roaming including MTNL roaming area of Delhi and Mumbai with the FUP condition of 250 outgoing minutes in a day, unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 5GB/day, and 100 free SMS/day to any net work including roaming in New Delhi and Mumbai.
BSNL has the edge over others in the terms of data benefits and calling benefits provided, however notably BSNL services are predominantly 3G with limited 4G presence.
