Let's see how many customers want to wait for a cashback post 18 and 36 months. Better offer would be to bundle EMIs with prepaid recharge. Sell locked entry level devices for around ₹7000. If they charge ₹399 monthly bundled with ₹199 plan. They can easily make the money back with interest in 18 months. The segment they are intending to target wouldn't wait months for cashbacks. Tieing up with OEM can also get them discounts. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
