Airtel launches Rs 399 Postpaid Data Plan
Airtel has recently launched a new Rs 399 postpaid data plan which only offers data benefits. Regulatory filings accessed by OnlyTech reveal that the plan was introduced on 24th September 2020.
The postpaid plan is an add-on pack which offers 50GB high speed data per month post which the speed is throttled to 80 Kbps. The GSM postpaid add-on pack is available across India which can also be used to get a Rs 1000 cashback with Airtel 4G Hotspot device.
Apart from this Airtel also offers Rs 499 postpaid data plan which was introduced on 3rd July, 2019 which offers 75GB high speed data per month post which the speed is throttled to 80 Kbps. The aforesaid plan is also available across India.
Given both the plans are data plans, they do not offer any sort of calling and SMS benefits. Airtel is also not offering complimentary subscription to Airtel Xstream and Wynk Music on these plans.

The postpaid plan offered 5GB high speed data per month, unlimited calling, 100 SMS every day along with complimentary subscription to Airtel Xstream, Hello Tunes, and Wynk Music.
The postpaid plan was available in aforesaid circles and mentioned in Airtel’s latest public postpaid TRAI format disclosure dated June 2020. Airtel’s dedicated microsite for circle-specific postpaid plans however no longer lists the plan indicating its withdrawal.

In another changes Airtel’s Rs 399 postpaid plan that was earlier available in all circles except Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Karnataka, Chennai and Tamil Nadu has now been amended to make it available all across India.
The expansion of the plan has probably come due to the discontinuation of the circle specific Rs 349 postpaid plan which was available in few of the above aforesaid circles.
