Airtel 5G Plus services launched in Shimla

Indian telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of its 5G Plus services in Shimla. Airtel 5G Plus services are also available in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Varanasi, Panipat, Gurugram, Patna, and Guwahati. According to the company, the Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner in the country.

“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Shimla. Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Pushpinder Singh Gujral, CEO, Upper North.

Airtel 5G Plus services in Shimla are currently available at Mall Road, Sanjoli, Dhalli, BhattaKufar, Ridge and Sanjoli Helipad Area, and a few other select locations. The company has said that it will expand its 5G networks in other areas of the city in due course of time.

Airtel customers with 5G handsets can avail of Airtel 5G Plus services on their existing data plans until the rollout is complete. As per Airtel, the 5G Plus services now work on all Android and Apple supported 5G devices. No SIM card change is required to enjoy the Airtel 5G Plus services.
