Airtel 5G Plus services launched in 15 more cities of West Bengal

The Airtel 5G Plus services are now available in Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur & Kharagpur.

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched its 5G Plus services in 15 cities of West Bengal, including Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur & Kharagpur. In West Bengal, Airtel 5G Plus services are already available in Siliguri.

According to the company, Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as it continues to construct its network and complete the rollout. Airtel also said it would expand its network making the 5G Plus services available across all the cities in due course of time.

“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur & Kharagpur in addition to Siliguri. Airtel customers in these sixteen cities can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up all the cities, which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Ayan Sarkar, CEO of Bharti Airtel, West Bengal.

Airtel 5G Plus services promise to offer up to 20-30 times faster speeds than 4G technology, along with a better voice experience. Airtel customers with 5G smartphones can enjoy the 5G Plus services on their existing data plans until the rollout is complete, and no SIM card change is required to get the 5G Plus services.
