ACT Fibernet now offering upgraded FUP benefits in Chennai

Internet service provider ACT Fibernet has recently revamped its offerings in Chennai to offer upgraded FUP benefits merely 3 months after revising the broadband offerings in Chennai in response to the tariff war from Jio Fiber and Airtel Xstream Fiber.

ACT is now offering FUP benefits starting at 3300 GB whereas earlier the entry level plans offered a minimum of 750 GB FUP benefit in Chennai. The company has also upgraded the speed on many plans in Chennai while keeping the monthly rental same as earlier.

ACT Fibernet now offering upgraded FUP benefits in Chennai

ACT Basic which earlier offered 750 GB FUP at 50 Mbps is now offering 3300 GB FUP at 60 Mbps with post FUP speed at 512 Kbps same as earlier. The monthly rental of the plan remains at Rs 820. ACT Blaze which earlier offered 1500 GB FUP at 100 Mbps is now offering 3300 GB FUP at 100 Mbps with post FUP speed at 1 Mbps as earlier.

ACT Blast Promo which earlier offered 2500 GB FUP at 150 Mbps is now offering 3300 GB FUP at 200 Mbps with post FUP speed at 1 Mbps as earlier. ACT Storm which earlier offered 3000 GB FUP at 200 Mbps is now offering 3300 GB FUP at 250 Mbps with post FUP speed at 1 Mbps as earlier.

ACT Lightning which earlier offered 3000 GB FUP at 250 GB is now offering 3300 GB FUP at 300 Mbps with post FUP speed at 1 Mbps as earlier. ACT Incredible remains unchanged while ACT GIGA also remains unchanged bar the revision in the post FUP speed downwards from 5 Mbps to 2 Mbps.

The terms and conditions for the unlimited data offerings mention that ACT encourages responsible use of unlimited data by its subscriber’s as it believes that even when a customer chooses the unlimited plan he or she may not be able to consume the maximum data limit of 3300 GB per month or above as per the tariff of the plan.

ACT encourages responsible use of unlimited data by each of its subscribers. ACT believes that even when a subscriber chooses to use the Unlimited plans extensively he or she may not be able to consume the maximum data limit of 3300 GB per month or above as per the tariff plan subscribed (hereinafter referred as “Maximum Data Limit”). Any such usage over and above said Maximum Data Limit will be treated as abuse of Unlimited Data plans by the said subscriber.ACT reserves its rights to withdraw the plan benefits in case the subscriber exceeds the said Maximum Data limit without giving any prior notice. The said withdrawal of plan benefits for such subscriber is done to ensure optimal use of ACT’s network, to avoid abuse of Unlimited Data benefits by any such subscriber and in the interest of all its subscribers,” read the terms and conditions on ACT’s website.

The microsite also mentions other plans classified as unlimited data plans offering a maximum of 10000 GB monthly data at Rs 4,999 with ACT Phenomenal. Some of the listed plans are however not available in Chennai.
