In 2018, YouTube introduced channel memberships that allow viewers to support their favourite creators, and viewers also get membership benefits such as access to exclusive emotes and loyalty badges. The channel memberships in India is available for Rs. 159 per month. YouTube does not offer long term channel memberships; however, this could change soon. According to a Google support page, the company is planning to bring three-month and six-month channel memberships.

Starting August 3, 2020, the company will run an experiment that will allow viewers to purchase either a three-month or six-month channel membership in one single payment. The testing will go on for the next three months, and the options will be available to select viewers in the US, India, France, Germany, and Spain.

The company has not revealed any pricing details for the three-month or six-month channel memberships yet. However, the viewers are likely to get some discounts for purchasing the three-month or six-month channel membership in one payment.
