Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched the Civi 2 smartphone in China. The phone features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, triple rear cameras, dual front cameras, 5G connectivity, Dolby Atmos, and a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It runs on Android 12 OS-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

Xiaomi Civi 2 features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4nm) chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2 storage.
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Civi 2 sports a triple rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 20-megapixel 115-degree ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has dual cameras on the front with 32-megapixel primary sensor and a 32-megapixel 100-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth version 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, 5G (SA/NSA), NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, gyroscope, IR (infrared) blaster, and an in-display optical fingerprint reader. It comes with a non-removable 4500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging technology.
Lastly, the phone measures 159.2 × 72.7 × 7.23 mm and weighs 171.8 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi Civi 2 is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 27,000) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 28,500). There’s also a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model that costs CNY 2,799 (around Rs. 32,000). The phone comes in Black, Pink, and Ice Blue color options. It also comes in white color with Hello Kitty branding. The company is yet to announce the global availability of smartphone.
