WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users to react to messages in the group announcement community on iOS. According to a report by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the messaging app will introduce an in-app banner that will alert users when an update with the message reaction feature is available.
When the feature is released, users will have to update their WhatsApp version through the App Store or TestFlight in order to be able to react to messages. On the Android platform, the messaging app is also looking into allowing users to hide contact numbers when reacting to messages in the group announcement community.
Additionally, the platform is also working on a completely redesigned text editor for its drawing tool on Android. It will have new features like altering the text background, various fonts, and the ability to adjust text alignment.
Apart from these developments, WhatsApp is introducing a new camera experience which is currently being tested with a few beta testers. The new hands-free function on camera mode allows users to effortlessly record a video with only one tap. The camera has been redesigned to enable you to switch to video mode with a single tap without need for tapping and holding.
