Telecom giant Jio and Airtel provide free caller tunes but this is not the case with struggling telecom service provider Vodafone Idea, which despite having very similar pricing to Airtel, charges its customers even on unlimited plans for caller tunes. To give a little relief to customers, Vodafone Idea has now launched 3 new value-added services (VAS) plans in Mumbai Circle which provide free song changes.
Vodafone Idea has launched three new VAS plans priced at Rs 47, Rs 67 and Rs 78. The VAS plans only provide caller tunes. The pack provides unlimited song change for its subscribers
Plan | Validity | Includes |
Rs 47 | 28 Days | Caller Tone with Unlimited song change for 28 Days |
Rs 67 | 90 Days | Caller Tone with Unlimited song change for 90 Days |
Rs 78 | 89 Days | Caller Tone with Unlimited song change for 89 Days |
On the Rs 47 VAS plan, you will get caller tunes with unlimited song changes for 28 days. The telecom service provider has also added Rs 67 and Rs 78 plans but currently, both Vodafone and Idea’s website seem to be showing wrong validity information as the cheaper Rs 67 plan is giving 90 days validity while the costlier Rs 78 plan is providing 89 days validity only.
The usual charge for caller tune on Vodafone is Rs 36 per month while on Idea the cost is Rs 42 in Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh and Rs 39 for the rest of India. Without the VAS pack, users are charged Rs 15 per tune change. Hello tunes are totally free on all Jio plans and Airtel also provides free hello tunes on its unlimited packs except the Rs 19 plan.
In other news, Vodafone Idea recently launched two new prepaid plans for its customers in Delhi. Both prepaid plans are bundled with unlimited calling, high-speed data allocation, and complimentary subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play.
