Times Network which operates the English language cluster of channels across News and Movie genres has pulled out its channels from JioTV earlier this week.
This is the first time where one of the top network’s channels went dark on the platform after illustrious pull down of Zee Network on the platform in 2018 due to disagreement over pricing. The channels however made a comeback after the two companies reaching a new agreement.
News channels Times Now, Mirror Now, ET Now and English language movie channels MN+, MNX, Movies Now, Romedy Now and Hindi music and entertainment news channel Zoom were among the channels which went dark on Jio’s live TV platform Jio TV.
In other news, Jio Cinema which hosted Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies and shows on Disney – Jio section were removed after Disney made it’s Indian streaming debut with its streamer Disney+ Hotstar in April this year.
