Lucasfilm Animation has a good track record in delivering exceptional Star Wars animated content. These shows generally act as fillers in between the movies. They have even resulted in some of the fan-favorite characters like Ashoka, Ezra Bridger, and Hera Syndulla.
The second season of the Bad Batch essentially follows the same footsteps of the other Star Wars animated shows and does a good job of filling in the auxiliary storylines like the creation of the Storm troopers, and the fate of clones after the clone wars.
The episodes are spread around a bunch of storylines. However, each are complete and has a common thread hanging throughout i.e., more and more clones are coming out of the effect of Order 66 and are questioning their commanders on the orders they were given.
The squad has a significant character development throughout the season as they have to learn to be a family more than a squad. Even Crosshair has a significant arc. The callbacks to other Star Wars media weren’t forced and have a very good purpose to serve.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is an entertaining show that showcases some important developments at the beginning of the empire. The show is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar and Disney+ globally with new episodes dropping each Wednesday.
