Reliance Jio rolls out its True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh

Reliance Jio customers in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur with compatible 5G smartphones will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited 5G mobile data at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no additional cost.

Reliance Jio True 5G Andhra Pradesh

Telecom service provider Reliance Jio has launched its True 5G services in four cities of Andhra Pradesh, including Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur. The Honorable Minister for Industries & Commerce, Infrastructure & Investment, Information Technology, Govt. Of AP, Shri. Gudivada Amarnath and the Honorable Chief Secretary, Govt. Of AP, Shri. Dr. K. S. Jawahar Reddy, IAS, inaugurated the Jio True 5G and Jio True 5G powered Wi-Fi services in an event from Vijayawada.

The company also demonstrated the benefits of 5G services in the field of healthcare using the Jio Community Clinic medical kit and AR-VR device, Jio Glass. Jio believes these benefits will bring transformational changes in the lives of people in Andhra Pradesh.

Starting 26 December, Reliance Jio customers in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur with compatible 5G smartphones will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited 5G mobile data at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no additional cost.

“I am happy to launch Jio’s True 5G services in Andhra Pradesh. 5G services in the long run will bring transformational benefits for the people of Andhra Pradesh,” said Honourable IT Minister, Govt. Of AP, Shri. Gudivada Amarnath.

“With the launch of Jio’s True 5G services, Andhra Pradesh is not just getting the best telecommunication network but will open doors to growth opportunities in the areas of e-governance, education, healthcare, IT, and SME business. Jio True 5G will also enable citizens and government to remain connected on a real-time basis and will also improve implementation and efficiency of government schemes till the last mile user,” said Honourable Chief Secretary, Govt. Of AP, Shri. Dr. K. S. Jawahar Reddy, IAS.

Commenting at the launch a Jio spokesperson said, “We are excited to commence Jio True 5G in Andhra Pradesh. Jio True 5G network will expand across the length and breadth of the State within a short period of time. Jio engineers are working round the clock to deliver True-5G benefits to every Indian so that the transformational power and the exponential benefits of this technology can be experienced by every citizen of our great country.”

Apart from the existing investment of Rs. 26,000 crores, Jio has also invested more than Rs. 6,500 crores in deploying 5G network in Andhra Pradesh. According to the company, Jio True 5G services will be available across towns, taluka, mandalam, and villages of Andhra Pradesh by January 2023. Jio True 5G services are also available in Gujarat, Pune, Delhi-NCR region, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Kerala.
