Realme has launched the Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 smartphones in India. The phones come as the successor to the last year’s launched Realme 7 series. Realme 8 series features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 11 OS out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 customization on top.
Realme 8 Pro specifications
Realme 8 Pro features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a typical brightness of 430 nits. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (8 nm) chipset paired with Adreno 618 GPU, 6/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Realme 8 Pro sports a quad-rear camera setup of 108-megapixel f/1.9 Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel f/2.3 199-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel f/2.5 camera on the front. The phone comes with a non-removable 4500mAh battery that supports 50W SuperDart Charge fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, magnetometer, ambient light, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 160.6 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 176 grams.

On the front, it has the same 16-megapixel f/2.5 camera. The phone is fueled by a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 30W Dart Charge fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability
The base variant of Realme 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 17,999 while the top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage cost Rs. 19,999. It comes in Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow color options.
On the other hand, the Realme 8 is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant cost Rs. 15,999 while the top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 16,999. It comes in Cyber Silver and Cyber Black color options.
Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 smartphones are now available to purchase via the Realme India website, Flipkart, and all leading retail stores in India. Launch offers include a 10 percent instant discount on ICICI Bank credit card and EMI transactions. There is also a no-cost EMI option for up to 6 months.
