Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo, on Friday, has launched the Oppo Watch in India. The Oppo Watch comes with an aluminium frame along with a rubber strap and includes one Home button and one multifunction button. The Oppo Watch 46mm variant is 5ATM water-resistance, while the 41mm variant is 3ATM water-resistance.
Oppo Watch specifications
The Oppo Watch 41mm variant features a 1.6-inch 301 PPI (320 x 360 pixels) rigid AMOLED display, while the 46mm variant comes with a 1.91-inch 326 PPI (402 x 476 pixels) dual-curved flexible AMOLED display with 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 & Ambiq Micro Apollo3 Wireless SoC paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The watch runs Wear OS by Google and is compatible with iOS 12.0 or later and Android 6.0 or later (excluding Go edition).
Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS,and NFC. Sensors included are gyroscope, geomagnetic, barometric sensor, a capacitance sensor, ambient light, tri-axial acceleration sensor, and optical heartbeat sensor. The watch supports multiple workout modes, including outdoor cycling, swimming, outdoor walk, fat burn run, and fitness run. Fitness functions supported are 24-hour heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, get-up reminder, and guided breathing exercises.
The 41mm variant comes with a 300mAh (typical)/ 289mAh (rated) battery that can deliver up to 24 hours of battery life in smart mode or up to 14 days in power saving mode. The 46mm variant comes with a 430mAh (typical)/ 416mAh (rated) battery that can deliver up to 36 hours of battery life in smart mode or up to 21 days in power saving mode. The smartwatch also supports Watch VOOC Flash Charging technology that can fully charge the battery in 75 minutes.
Pricing and availability
The Oppo Watch 41mm variant is priced at Rs. 14,990, and the Oppo Watch 46mm variant is priced at Rs. 19,990. The 41mm variant comes in Black, Pink Gold, Silver Mist color options, while the 46mm variant comes in Black and Glossy Gold color options. The smartwatch is available for pre-order via Amazon India website and Flipkart. The watch will be available to purchase in the country starting August 10, 2020.
