Reliance Jio’s video conferencing platform JioMeet Pro has gone live in the Playstore yesterday with users now able to download the application. Reliance had earlier taken down the app from the Playstore when it had announced its launch during the Q4 FY 20 result declaration.
The app which was released yesterday will work on mobile, tablet, desktop, and browser. It is an HD video conferencing app which will be safe and secure with PIN protection. Jio states that it is easy to use the app with easy signup procedure.
One can invite up to 100 users in a meeting with the HD video quality. Links can be shared through email, SMS, WhatsApp, or invite users by entering Meeting ID and PIN. One can join in from desktop, mobile, or laptop. Jio says that the JioMeet Pro app comes with adaptive streaming so as to ensure that the call is not dropped even when you are passing through a low network zone with the call being downgraded to lower quality.
One can create channels to start group calling with a single click. Group chat messages will be available during the conference similar to Cisco Webex meetings. The call host will have control over the participants audio, video feeds, with option to selectively disconnect participants as well.
