Reliance Jio’s e-commerce platform JioMart whose trial started last month in some parts of Mumbai has now expanded its services to more than 200 cities and towns across the country.

The company has also launched a new website to easily browse and place orders for your groceries and daily essentials. You can check the availability of JioMart in your area by entering your pin code on the website.

JioMart is currently available in dozens of metro, tier 1, and tier 2 cities including Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Bokaro, Bathinda, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, and Dehradun.

JioMart claims that it provides all products at a minimum of 5 per cent discount. It also claims that all products listed on their website are sourced directly from the registered farmers.

To shop at JioMart, first head to jiomart.com and sign up using your mobile number. Then enter OTP, provide details such as email ID, full name, and create a new password for your JioMart account. That’s it, now you can start shopping.

JioMart has a wide range of products from snacks, beverages to fruits, vegetables, and personal, home care to dairy and bakeries. The platform will compete directly with the likes of Amazon Pantry, Flipkart Supermart, Grofers, and BigBasket.

Once all required items are added to your cart you can proceed to pay using credit, debit card, UPI, PayTm, PhonePe, JioMoney, and Mobikwik. JioMart says that it will try to deliver the orders within 2 days but it may take more time due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

During the testing, JioMart was taking orders from its WhatsApp Business account. Consumers had to send a WhatsApp message to +91 88500 08000 to place orders but now on the new website, there is no option for bookings via WhatsApp.
