The JioBook is priced at Rs. 19,500 and is listed on GeM for government department employees only. It will be available for general consumers later.

Reliance Jio recently showcased the JioBook at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022. Now, the company has listed the laptop on the government e-marketplace (GeM). The JioBook features an 11.6-inch HD display, Snapdragon 665 SoC, 2GB RAM, 4G connectivity, a standard keyboard, and a touchpad with multi-touch gestures support.

JioBook specifications

The JioBook features an 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768 pixels) TN display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU, 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32GB of eMMC onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

The laptop has an HD front-facing camera for recording and making video calls. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.0, microphone/ headphone combo jack, an HDMI port, one USB 2.0 port, two USB 3 ports, and 4G LTE connectivity.

Further, it has dual internal speakers and microphones. It packs a 55.1-60 Ah battery that is said to deliver up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. JioBook is made of ABS plastic material and runs Jio OS out of the box. It also has a standard spill-resistant keyboard and touchpad that supports multi-touch gestures.

Pricing and availability

The JioBook is priced at Rs. 19,500 and is available from the government e-marketplace (GeM) website for government department employees only. It comes in a single Blue color option. For general consumers, it will be available later this year.

Reliance Jio is working with Chinese original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Emdoor Digital Technology Co., Ltd., on the upcoming JioBook laptop which will feature ARM-based Windows 10, according to a report by GSMArena.

GSMArena said the “product name” for the device will be "QL218_V2.2_JIO_11.6_20220113_v2" and found a vast ‘218-series’ lineup of devices on the Emdoor Digital Technology website
