Jio True 5G reaches 184 cities with a massive rollout in 50 cities

Jio said that this is one of the largest rollouts of 5G services in the world.

Jio 5G 50 cities

Reliance Jio on Tuesday, January 24 announced a massive wide-scale rollout of its 5G services across 17 states and Union Territories. The latest expansion bumped up the total number of cities with active Jio 5G network to 184. 

Jio said that this is one of the largest rollouts of 5G services in the world and it furthers the company’s aim to complete the 5G rollout in all parts of the country by December this year. 

Jio True 5G is launched in three new states/UT including Goa, Haryana, and Puducherry. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla has inaugurated Jio True 5G in Kota, and Haryana home minister Anil Vij has inaugurated it in the Haryana circle.

50 cities where Jio True 5G will be available from today include Chittoor, Kadapa, Narasaraopet, Ongole, Rajamahendravaram, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh), Nagaon (Assam), Bilaspur, Korba, Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh), Panaji (Goa), Ambala, Bahadurgarh, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat (Haryana), Dhanbad (Jharkhand), Bagalkote, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya, Tumakuru (Karnataka), Alappuzha (Kerala), Kolhapur, Nanded-Waghala, Sangli (Maharashtra), Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri, Sambalpur (Odisha), Puducherry, Amritsar (Punjab), Bikaner, Kota (Rajasthan), Dharmapuri, Erode, Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu), Nalgonda (Telangana), Jhansi, Aligarh, Moradabad, Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Asansol, Durgapur (West Bengal). 

Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to start using 5G services on their devices. The Jio True 5G rollout is in the beta stage and all eligible 5G customers get unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

Commenting on the occasion, a Jio Spokesperson said, “We are thrilled to launch Jio True 5G services in 50 additional cities across 17 states and union territories, taking the total count to 184 cities. This is by far one of the largest rollouts of 5G services, not just in India, but anywhere in the world.”
