Jio launches Rs 259 prepaid plan with a calendar month validity

Reliance Jio has launched a new Rs 259 ‘calendar month prepaid’ pack with postpaid-like validity of an entire month that renews on the same day of each month regardless of how many days the month has. 

This plan offers 1.5GB daily high-speed data which after consumption will be reduced to 64Kbps. Users also get unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and a complimentary subscription to Jio apps. 

The Rs 259 plan is available for both new and existing users. Similar to other prepaid plans, it can be recharged multiple times in one go to be queued so that it can automatically become active after the expiry of the currently active plan. 

The offerings of the Rs 259 plan are identical to the Rs 239 pack which gives 28 days validity. This move from Reliance Jio comes after a recent order from TRAI to provide at least one plan voucher, special tariff voucher, and one combo voucher with 30 days validity and renewal on the same date of every month.
