Tech giant Google has announced the dates for its annual I/O developer conference. The two-day event will kick off on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, and will be streamed live. The company has highlighted that the keynote will focus on Android, Artificial Intelligence (AI), web technologies, and cloud. Additionally, Google will livestream The Android Show: I/O Edition on May 13 at 10 AM PT, showcasing the upcoming updates for Android.
Registration for Google I/O 2025 is now open and free for everyone. Those who sign up can stay informed about the event schedule, receive relevant developer news via email, and access livestreamed keynotes, workshops, and technical sessions. Additionally, registrants can create a profile in the Google Developer Program.
Unregistered users can still view the keynotes and sessions. However, they will not receive event-related communications or recommendations through the Google Developer Program.
Alongside Google I/O 2025, the company is hosting a dedicated event focused on Android updates for the first time. The Android Show: I/O Edition will begin on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10 AM PT (11:30 PM IST), one week before Google I/O 2025, and will be livestreamed on Google’s official Android YouTube channel. Sameer Samat, President of the Android Ecosystem and the Android team, will showcase the updates coming to Android.
