Facebook has launched a new Manage Activity tool that allows users to archive or trash old posts in one place. Manage Activity is the part of the Activity Log section and lets users batch-delete old posts. The tool also includes filters that help users to sort and find relevant posts. The Manage Activity tool is available on the mobile and Facebook lite. It will be available on the desktop version in the future.

Whether you’re entering the job market after college or moving on from an old relationship, we know things change in people’s lives, and we want to make it easy for you to curate your presence on Facebook to more accurately reflect who you are today. That’s why we’re launching Manage Activity to help you archive or trash old posts, all in one place,” Facebook wrote in a blog post.

Users can use the archive feature of the tool for the content they no longer want others to see on Facebook but want to keep for themselves. Manage Activity tool also allows users to move posts that are no longer wanted to trash. Posts in the trash will stay for 30 days before being permanently deleted. However, users can choose to delete manually or restore posts within that period.

To use the Manage Activity tool, go to your profile page and tap on Go To Activity Log. After that, tap on the Manage Activity button, and then tap on Your Posts. Here you will see all your posts. You can filter posts by date, by people, etc. Now you can select posts individually, and based on your preference, you can either choose Archive or Trash.
