DoT allots MSC codes for Jammu & Kashmir LSA to Reliance Jio

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) recently in consideration to the request of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited approved the allotment of MSC codes for Jammu and Kashmir LSA. The Telecom Department’s Access Services Wing allocated the MSC code series which will earlier held by Tata Teleservices Limited.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited has been allocated ACCESS-MSC code series ‘92100-92109′ by the Telecom Department for Jammu & Kashmir LSA. The ACCESS-MSC code allocated by DoT to RJIL will help the telecom service provider meet the demand of one million susbcribers in the aforementioned service area.

“In consideration to the requests of M/s Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, the undersigned is directed to convey the allotment of MSC codes. Aforementioned Series may be used by TSP except for the ported out subscribers of M/s TTSL,” said DoT in its letter to Reliance Jio.
