DoT allocates MSC code (34th series) for Mobile services in UP East to Reliance Jio

Reliance Jio bags ACCESS-MSC code allotment to meet 1 million subscribers demand in Uttar Pradesh (East).

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Friday allocated a fresh set of MSC codes to telecom service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited for providing mobile services in Uttar Pradesh (East) LSA. The MSC codes (34th series) allotment came in consideration to the request from Reliance Jio.

The Telecom Department has allocated ACCESS-MSC code 92350-92359 to Reliance Jio for Uttar Pradesh (East) LSA. The aforementioned MSC code series can be used by the telecommunications service provider except for the ported out subscribers of Tata Teleservices Limited.

DoT’s MSC code allotment will help Reliance Jio meet the demand of one million subscribers in Uttar Pradesh (East) LSA. The Telecom Department had last month allocated fresh MSC codes to Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited in Bihar, Karnataka, and West Bengal to meet the demand of one million subscribers each.
