Yeah Redmi 5a was at 4999. They could easily lower the price further. 3.5k was ideal price even if it means some ads supported like lock screen ads like Amazon phones

Nearly all comments in Facebook and Twitter to redmi's post regarding redmiGO are condemning the high price.
They used to offer redmi 5a with 2gb ram, 16gb rom and full android for rs.5000. Now they are charging rs.4500 for 1gb ram and 8gb rom and androidGo.

I bought Asus Zenfone Lite L1 @4500 for my father before 2 months from flipkart. During sales they lower base price to 4999+ 10% card offer = 4500. Now I'm happy since I didn't waited for Redmi Go or 7A.
