WWE Smackdown Live Results 10/11/16

— The show opened with the introduction of new Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.

1. Dolph Ziggler defeated the Spirit Squad.
The Miz and Maryse sat at ringside for this match. Ziggler hit a superkick on Kenny and pinned him for the win.

— Immediately after the bell rang, Miz jumped in the ring and attacked Ziggler, then hit the Skull Crushing Finale. Heath Slater and Rhyno ran out to save Ziggler from a 3-on-1 beatdown and Miz, Maryse and Spirit Squad took a powder.

— Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon issues three challenges to Raw for the upcoming double-branded Survivor Series pay-per-view: Five of their male Superstars against five of Raw’s male Superstars, Smackdown’s five best tag teams against Raw’s five best tag teams, and Smackdown’s five top women against Raw’s top five women, both in traditional Survivor Series matches.

2. Naomi defeated Carmella.
Carmella had jumped Nikki Bella earlier backstage. Nikki tried to come to the ring during this match but security held her back. The distraction was still enough to allow Naomi to roll up Carmella for the win.

3. Jimmy Uso defeated Chad Gable.
Jimmy rolled Gable up with a schoolboy pin and Jey Uso lent extra leverage for the pin.

4. James Ellsworth defeated AJ Styles.
Ambrose kept finding ways to not give Styles the victory, then hit Styles with Dirty Deeds and dragged Ellsworth on top of him. Styles kicked out, so Ambrose hit him with another Dirty Deeds and counted faster.(this was really funny match to watch)

5. Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt defeated Randy Orton and Kane.
Orton was about to make a hot tag to Kane when the lights went out. When they came back on, Luke Harper was in Kane’s spot on the apron and Kane was nowhere to be found. Orton turned around into a Sister Abigail and Bray Wyatt got the pin.

WWE Smackdown Live Results 10/18/16

Randy Orton made his way to the ring, Wyatt appeared on the video screen, lying in a casket and surrounded by people in sheep masks. Bray said that Orton doesn’t have to come for him, because he’s going to take Randy on a journey.

1. Randy Orton defeated Luke Harper.
During the match, Wyatt was rolled to ringside in a casket. Orton hit the rop-hung DDT, but Wyatt ran in and attacked Orton to give him the disqualification victory.

— After the match, Harper and Wyatt attacked Orton and tried to put him in the casket, but Kane was inside it. Kane and Orton go for their finishers, but the lights go out and when they come back on, Wyatt and Harper are gone.

2. Alexa Bliss defeated Naomi.

— Apollo Crews was waiting in the ring while Curt Hawkins made his entrance. Hawkins insulted Crews, who punched him, so Hawkins left the ring. He said that Crews ruined his debut and then left.

3. The Miz and the Spirit Squad defeated Heath Slater, Rhyno and Dolph Ziggler.
Rhyno hit the Gore on Mikey while Slater used an O’Conner roll on Kenny, but Miz blindsided Slater and allowed Kenny to get a schoolboy roll-up for the pin.

4. Baron Corbin defeated Jack Swagger.
Corbin pinned Swagger after a short-arm version of the End of Days.

5. WWE World Championship Match: James Ellsworth defeated AJ Styles (c) by disqualification.
Dean Ambrose was the guest ring announcer and kept interrupting the match with distracting comments. He angered Styles so much that Styles was DQ’d for refusing to stop beating up Ellsworth in the corner.

— After the match, Ambrose hit Styles with Dirty Deeds and then announced Ellsworth as the winner, and as having more victories over AJ Styles than John Cena.

Only two of them Kenny & Mikey made return couple of weeks ago at No Mercy PPV to interrupt thier former squad member Nicky "Dolph Ziggler" during his IC Championship match

WWE Smackdown Live: John Cena returns to action, issues Royal Rumble challenge

John Cena is back! And did he get back to action with a massive announcement. At the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Smackdown Live kicked off with the all-too-familiar music of Cena as the ‘Cenation’ cheered in unison of their favourite superstar. And he immediately got into the thick of things with the new Smackdown brand. He claimed that it was now “My Time is Now” Era and quickly challenged the winner of the triple threat match scheduled for later in the night which saw AJ Styles go up against Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin for the title at Royal Rumble!

In the main event with AJ Styles putting his title on the line and with excitement heightened post Cena’s announcement, the audience were privy to a fantastic contest. All three superstars put their body on the line with the prize too big to let go of. But, in the end, Styles proved why he’s held the title for so long as he delivered a Phenomenal Forearm on Corbin and sealed the win by pinning Ziggler who had been struck with a End of Days just seconds prior.

At the conclusion of the contest, Cena made his way down the ring and in somewhat surprising manner, shook hands with The Phenomenal One with the match set for the Royal Rumble in the run up to Wrestlemania.

WWE Smackdown: John Cena beats Randy Orton as Luke Harper interferes in the fight

WWE Champion John Cena defeated storied rival Randy Orton on Smackdown Live – following interference from Luke Harper. Cena hit an AA and Randy Orton hit an RKO, but both of them kicked out respectively from each other’s moves.

After the referee was bumped into, Cena had Orton locked in the STF and Orton tapped but the ref was out. Bray Wyatt attacked Cena with Luke Harper then appearing. Harper began to attack Wyatt while John Cena hit another AA on Randy Orton for the win.

It sets up an enticing grudge between Royal Rumble victor Orton and Harper when they clash at Elimination Chamber on Sunday night. After his success in Seattle, Cena’s next test will be facing off against AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, The Miz and Dean Ambrose in the pay-per-view event.

The 16-time world champion should perhaps be wary of Corbin, though, after the former NXT standout beat Styles, Miz and Ambrose in a Fatal Four-Way in Seattle on Tuesday night. Corbin won the match – sanctioned by Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan – by nailing former WWE Champion Styles with End of Days.

Other than John Cena, his girlfriend Nikki Bella was also in the limelight as she and Natalya built up their Elimination Chamber bout in a chat with Tom Phillips that degenerated into trash talk about their other halves.

Cena’s girlfriend Bella stormed out of the chat when Natalya stated that if she was not married to Tyson Kidd that Bella’s boyfriend Cena would be with her instead as she was “smarter, better and prettier.”

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Micke James and WWE SmackDown women’s champ Alexa Bliss entered for a dual contract signing ahead of their Elimination Chamber matches. Mickie James vowed to bring her 7-year-long glory back while Becky said she would take her to her past.

Naomi told Alexa Bliss that she would defend the women’s title at WrestleMania. The four women then got into a nasty brawl and Naomi edged proceedings when they became physical, dropping Bliss with a leg lariat and then hitting the champion and James with a crossbody.

WWE SmackDown Results : 10-man Royal Battle ends in controversy

On Tuesday night though, the SmackDown was a little subdued. It had its fair bit of entertainment though. But the biggest was the 10-man Battle Royal. The winner of the battle was choosen to challenge Bray Wyatt at the WrestleMania 33. But there was a controversy as well.

So there were 10 superstars that battled to becomes the number contender to challenge Wyatt at WrestleMania. After sometime, it was only AJ Styles and Luke Harper that were left and both wanted a ticket to WrestleMania. But it turned out that it was not an easy decision to announce the winner.

Both Styles and Harper were involved in controversy as soon as they landed on the floor. It delayed the verdict as there was controversy around who landed first. But it was both. Styles and Harper landed exactly at the same moment, hittin the floor with their feet.

It took SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan to decided the winner. He rushed out with other officials at the ringside. But even he could not decide the winner and eventually declared the match a draw. But he also added that next week, they will find the number one contender who would challenge Wyatt for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
