What is the difference Tie & Draw? Just a basic question.

Draw - when match is not completed within 5 days
Tie - Score of 1st+2nd innings equal for both teams

What is the difference Tie & Draw? Just a basic question.

Tie: Runs are equal after finished of both teams 2nd innings.

Draw: One team or both team does not complete their innings but official play time end.

What is the difference Tie & Draw? Just a basic question

Tie: When last wicket fell at level scores in 4th innings. Example: Chasing 300 to win, team got all out on 299.
Draw: When the time (typically 5 days) ended without any results.
Few years back, India fell short by 1 run from victory (scores were equal) against WI. But the match was a draw, not tie since India wasn’t all-out (Ashwin & Aaron were at the crease).

Australia have another chance to improve % as they will play against Sri Lanka.

India's best chance is to win series against Australia and Sri Lanka beat Australia at least 1 match.

But drawing in Sri Lanka is very difficult because of turning pitches. We can't expect draw matches in Sri Lanka. Both test matches will be finished within 3 days, if Australia wins both toss and bat first then they will have a chance to beat them.

For India it is mandatory to win this series to stay alive in WTC final.
