Bro, here cable providers bundle services bro...
Even government providers also bundle services.. In our area...
I only mentioned some charges much more actually local providers are very cheap than this pan India Service providers
Actually, my mom uses ott and than me...
OTT doesn't have casual viewing and it is not good for sports it has its own issues...
The only problem with TV channels is advertisements... And lack of interesting Content...
I hate OTT content to watch with family... It is best for personal viewing but for to watch with family they only have new movies and reality TV shows from their TV channels and some webseries...
U mentioned most people moved to OTT..
Actually most people are using OTT with their cable and DTH service... They are not completely moved...
And, OTT is a new concept that doesn't Mean Dth and cable are outdated...
Actually, if some person only want to watch sports from star... They need to purchase complete hotstar for this 899 or 1499
But in dth we can add sport channels only on match days... We don't need to pay 899 for this... It is just like below 1rupee below per day... This is just an example for a statement u mentioned dth or cable is outdated... No it doesn't..
I agree with the sports part where you gotta to pay for seperate subscription. Disagree on OTT part. You can stream most TV shows on OTT. It's not necessary to stream OTT's original content.

But local cable providers not giving service properly with regular fiber cuts and power issues and can't offer OTTs. In Airtel and Jio we will not face this type of issues and get quality. Fixed wireless broadband will come after 2 years with 5G for small towns. DTH is best for rural villagers.
Again u are mentioning rural villages... I am from village we have 2-3 local five players bsnl and cable broadband providers.. Government owned ap fiber.... And airtel... Of course this is not the case with all villages...
Do you know, infact local providers are responsive and provide stable services than airtel...in my area... Every place is different "u can't simply state dth is for villagers they don't watch ott.... Ott is for cities and they don't watch cable or dth" it is wrong everybody uses what they want...

But the problem is if u open an ott app except netflix u can't restrict banner Content, where they promote new content...that is their new series etc.,
If the banner is interesting people watch it... Maybe the content is inappropriate...
Of course it is not necessary to watch original shows.... But people generally watch interesting content with promos and all... In ott we need check age required... And all...
And some 18+ content is good without any adult content and still ott platforms put age as 18+ because of violence so again we need to check imdb and youtube review to check whether the show have adult content or not...
In dth and cable we don't need to do anything simply watch what we want happily of course some content is not interesting.
And biggest issue why there is no monthly plans in most ott why we need to make one year commitment for all otts only some have monthly plans...
In dth we don't have contract for channels we can anytime we want and cancel them..
But netflix is the ott doing this...properly

Netflix is not cheap to subscribe for one year as other OTTs cheap.

Our village has no broadband, providers, only BSNL 3G and Airtel 4G. Our parents are watching OTTs with mobile data for some time. Watching New movies on TV with ads are horrible.

But others also need to provide only netflix, prime, zee are doing this it is not about cheap or expensive... Why do we need to make commitment at least we should have option like prime, zee are doing

Of course, watching new movie with ads is horrible... But that doesn't mean dth is only option for villages
