Sony Six to show Serie A from 2015/16 onwards

Coverage of Sony Six is not that up to the mark as compared to Ten Action. Others may differ. But I think Sony should revamp all of its sports channels. It can also start a separate cricket channel as it has IPL Rights & Newzealand Cricket Rights. Plus sometimes it shows Local T-20 Leagues of South Africa & Zimbabwe also.

I don't think they hv New Zealand cricket rights..
they got them only India tour when Neo failed to settle payments. ..
Sony only hv IPL , CPL (WI) & Ram Slam (SA) T20 games for cricket ....

as for seria a.. its a step sideways ..in my opinion...

I think considering how Sony handles there property, there will be zero coverage of seria a during the april-may months unless its a late night kick off...

and contrary to wat rahul bro said I dont expect pix to show any sports anymore because they have established a good market share in English movie ....

lets see if star has any plans to retain la-liga rights..

they can use kix for seria a !
bcoz tamil or telugu feed can be provided from six also...

I believe they didn't launch kix just to give IPL in tamil or telugu....
I hope Sony get NZ & BAN cricket rights as we could hardly see any live cricket unless it's an india tour !

Pix shows animated movies mostly. .I don't think it is conpeting with Star Movies , HBO , Movies Now or Zee Studio...

they have rights to 2 movie houses -sony and MGM... I think this alone says how serious they are about competing...

whatever bro..I could only see animated movies like tin tin most the time...Sony Pictures doesn't give the sole rights of blockbuster movies to Pix alk the time..

anyway kix could do a better job than star for Seria A for sure !

movie rights are not sold individually in Hollywood.. you have to make deal with,the movie houses ... And yes all Sony movies are priemerd first on pix ... others can outsource movies once it is shown on pix

We will see in next April-may how well Sony sports manages the content...

FYI, Sony does not have NZ and Bangladesh rights.

Bangladesh rights are with Star Sports till 2020.

NZ rights for India are unsold as no broadcaster is interested in the said rights. India tours NZ only in 2019/2020 for two years in a row so highly unlikely we shall get to see any live cricket from NZ unless there is significant change of heart of the broadcasters.

Regarding movies, Sony Pix has a huge catalogue so it will be interesting to watch what they do during IPL. Serie A match timings are 4,6.30,9.30.12.15 and all of those times there are IPL matches. Even post midnight due to rains there were lot of matches which completed only around 12.30/1.
