Yes, not really attractive, they took too much time in development and came up with this. Snapdragon 215 is a quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Around 7K you can get octa-core processors at 2GHz. Bigger 6.5+ inches display and 5,000mAh battery.

As per their EMI calculation 1.5GB/day plan costs Rs.250/- per month, 2GB/day plan costs Rs.300/- per month and 2.5GB/day plan costs Rs.350/- per month. So , price increase is inevitable for current plans.

such a bummer.
Exactly .. voice users was already in old jio feature phone of 2K price so they don't need this & come to data users what they will do with 2gb & 32gb memory phone with 6500 price utter flop for the reason

Either they have to reduce the cost 3K or have to increase memory atleast 4/64gb variant

If Jio really wanted to create a disruption and attract the 2G users then they should have gone for an upfront price of 3999 max. The current price point isn't going to get them the 50 million user adds that they were gunning for.

Wasn't it supposed to be subsided by Google?

Did chip shortage jacked up the price?
