I use chromecast and Netflix app. It output 5.1 by default if the movie title has it.

Yes bro ihave installed kodi and its working fine. Is there any for me to play netflix in 5.1 as i dont have Chromecast

Lemme see what I can do. Unfortunately, my TV is broken since yesterday. Not in a mood to purchase another TV in near future. In this case, I might not use The HT for movies for a few months. Sad to say that I cannot help extensively, but will try my best. Sorry about that.

Did you try casting Netflix video to the box from your phone?
Also, try installing Netflix plugin for Kodi and stream. Might work.
