I understand. Bro but we should consider inflation too. See Fuel taxes plays major role to drive economy. In current scenario Global Crude rates are already sky rocketing. We can't expect govt. To subsidize everything. It will hurt only those who pay taxes.

I would like of we can force govt to innovate EV technology and get less rely on Petrol Diesel

Why should we sacrifice everything. Why Govt distribute freebies for their political gain. Why new projects like central vista should be taken when there is not money.
It is not subsidy, they are almost charging 3times of the petrol cost.
The helpless ness of Indians were seen in the month of April/May though COVID cess were collected since last April 2020.
So govt should atleast stop COVID cess and decrease central excise to give some relief to the citizens.

Fuel prices were hiked in Delhi and Mumbai on Wednesday. In Delhi, the petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs 0.35 and will now be sold at Rs 106.19 per litre and Rs 94.92 per litre respectively.

In Mumbai, the petrol price was hiked by Rs 0.34 and now stands at Rs 112.11 per litre, while diesel would now be sold at Rs 102.89 per litre as it was raised by Rs 0.37, today.

In Kolkata, petrol was being sold at Rs 103.31 per litre, while diesel was at Rs 99.26 per litre today.

In Chennai, petrol and diesel prices were Rs 112.11 and Rs 102.89 per litre, respectively.

The central government is in talks with several oil-exporting countries on the issue of supply and demand of oils but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.

Every political parties is using freebies to win .... You will vote out X party Y would come will it reduce Freebies no .They will rename and launch it again.....What will you do it ????

Free electricity free water free education Free this free that subsidized local transportation everything requires money and that money is always going to come from tax either you pay it now or you pass burden to future eg oil bonds but they have to be paid.



Project like central vista stimulate economy.... Even if BJP was not in power INC/UPA begin power would had started construction for new parliament as post 2026 seats are going to be increased....

Bihar at present has 40+ LS seats .Post 2026 there seats are expected to get increased will JD(U) and RJD will support to pass resolution that will prevent to postpone it

Tamilnadu has 48 LS seats ... Will you think DMK and Aiadmk support this resolution ????

Regional parties are not fool....

The combined arithmetic of all regional party would triumph BJP number in parliament they would pass resolution to fast track such construction..

I am talking about all the govt.
Why they are distributing freebies by charging more from the petrol/diesel. Anyone asking/requesting them for this?

And another thing, when all freebies schemes are funded by state Govt, what is the need of Central Govt to collect so much taxes?
If Central Vista like project stimulate economy, then they should start housing schemes for the people instead of of doing a such luxurious project for a selected few.

Last thing, there should be two option for the customers. One who want to pay such exorbitant taxes and another who does not. Let them pay the price who think high taxation in petrol/diesel is for betterment of economy.

Then, it should be amended. I do not see anything positive in increasing the seats.
