Read my post once again I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of Peta India.
Read the post #452. PETA clearly discourage any forms of animal cruelty. Most Hindus doesn't eat non veg to not harm animals. But burst firecrackers and celebrate Holi with harmful colors (specially in streets). Uneducated ones doesn't know they are unintentionally harming animals by doing this.

PETA clearly discourage any forms of animal cruelty really? Then why Sonam Kapoor was the person of the year for peta? When she is seen carrying a leather bag on different occasions sorry to say but Peta india is full of frauds.

I agree with you. These are things along with leather rakhi related tweets etc. puts bad light to this organisation. They need to seriously work on their PR. But us fighting against them is wrong. They are fighting for a good cause. Any form of animal cruelty is wrong. They are here to protect animals not peddle some religion over other. We need to support them and their cause.

If we think PETA has an agenda. No one is stopping us from having a similar native organization to raise awareness about cruelty on animal.

Can't help people who has selective love for animals. Firecrackers and Colors are causing as much harm as eating them. Two wrongs doesn't make one right.
firecrackers are just not exclusive to Diwali they are used all around the world on Christmas and on new year but Peta only criticize Diwali that's selective criticism I'm talking about... It's not like Firecrackers of Diwali will do more harm and Firecrackers on New year will release oxygen right?

And I care about Animals much more than these frauds at Peta and celebrities that's the reason I'm pure vegetarian from birth and have never used firecrackers even on Diwali:)

Firecrackers should be banned altogether. It's painful to hear street dog howl during new year. I left using over decade ago. Near my old house. We had over 100 year old trees with thousands of birds. Seeing them circling in the air made me disgusted in myself. Haven't used any fireworks in over a decade.

Good and encourage others to do same.

Lol.. banning anything isn't solutions. Community Diwali and other celebration should be encouraged. Like you see in those anime where people go to a river bank and government will burst those rockets and all of them will watch? Like that. There are many free open spaces where we can celebrate like that. Same with Holi. Everything need not to be stopped completely.
Note- I don't burst cracker or play holi. Neither i encourage anyone to do so. But let's respect those rights which can be observed without harming anyone or little harm. Otherwise life will be colourless.

That anime movie name is 'A silent voice'. They went to river bank. Watched crakers for 15 minutes and then went back to house. No harm to anyone. 🙏

Who's banning Diwali? It's one of my favourite festivals. It's a lot more about puja, greetings and exchange of gifts than firecrackers. Banning harmful firecrackers here. Last year firecrackers were banned. Consumption was much less because of the ban. There are eco-friendly fireworks. Just ban those atom bombs and rockets. Use phuljari and other smaller firecrackers.

The idea of having space for Diwali is fine. We already do Dussehra like that. It still will scare animals specially the stray dogs.

There is no purpose of banning Holi as long as we use good natural colors and keep the celebration among us humans.

Post #462 " Fire crackers should be banned altogether". My reply was on basis of that post. Now you are doing straw man argument. 👍
