Similar trend will be seen in the data of August and September as well. Things will start to level out in the Oct-Dec quarter and from Jan again the private operators will start to show positive additions.

frankly speaking it does not effect the operators. jio and airtel are the only real options for people with one sim. vi is a distant second and most use bsnl as a back-up sim. the interesting part is airtel has 99% VLR, jio around 93 , vi around 85. BSNL improved from 50 to 60%. another way of interpreting VLR data is the number of active users.

after watching this report no effect on telco operators.
they still sitting stubbornly.
Why should it affect the telcos? You think they didn't anticipate that subscribers will port out or disconnect after tariff hike? They knew this would happen and had factored it into their annual projections. If they fear such reactions then they will never be able to hike tariffs and we will never get upgraded network experience like other countries.
Of the ones who have moved to BSNL, half will return back after the 90 day lock in period is over. It's a choice between quality and low tariffs.

When someone calls me, the other person hears that the mobile number is invalid. I have wifi in my office and home, due to which I only needed internet for upi on the way, but the network is poor. That is why after 90 days I will go back to Airtel or Jio.

Just take the Value annual plan of Jio (₹1899/336 days) or Airtel (₹1999/365 days). It will be sufficient for your needs and will be reliable compared to BSNL.
