Guys this is a thread to discuss about live TV apps provided by DTH operators as well as upcoming live TV only apps like YouTube TV and Prime Video Live TV, in which all channels are available.

Please don't discuss broadcaster provided apps in which only their channels are available.

Anyone who watches linear channel's while having subscription of OTT services are stupid.

The idea is to put every hardware outside of your TV inside your TV as apps....Now we don't need blu-ray/dvd players....they are available as apps inside your TV (you can consider any app like netflix, prime video as a blu-ray player inside your TV).

So many people have DTH equipment outside their TV....these too will move inside TV in every home with the arrival of live TV apps.

All you will see in future homes is a standalone TV with nothing connected to it. It recieves everything via a tiny Wi-Fi receiver inside ✌️

Meanwhile there are likes of Yupp TV who provides some channels like Aaj Tak, NDTV etc. Even some South channels are available. Sony LIV offers Sony as well other FTA channels. MX Player got live channels on mobile app and web. Zee offers lots of option of news. From Euro News to India Today to local channels. Even comedy news channels like Republic is also present.

It is still a developing market. But soon YouTube TV will arrive and change the game. Wait and watch.

Spotify and Netflix were also supposed to enter the market and disrupt steaming markets in India. Nothing happened.

They did disrupt two markets and these are the audio CD and blu-ray/dvd markets. Live TV apps will disrupt the DTH market.

Jio should launch JioTV App for all Android TV's, FireTV Stick, other Android based boxes, & other os based TV's it will be use ful for those who don't like to get dth connection and want to watch live tv through app without subscribing all otts. Specially Disney & Star Channels same dth feed should be available in the app
