Directly means vga to hdmi cable or rca cable, but I have purchase vga to hdmi cable in some online shop & it's not working for me

Dear use hdmi cable .i am also using monitor as tv with solid 740 hd stb.i have cpu and stb both connected to monitor.

Simply purchase a TV tuner..and connect it with your stb.
There are 3 types of tv tuners one is internal which you have to insert in pci slot another one is USB tv tuner and the 3rd one is general tv cards..in which you dont have to power on your CPU. you can get this in any computer shop..

Yes..such tv tuners are connected betwen (in the middle) the cpu and monitor.It takes input from both the CPU and stb and delivers the output to the monitor.when you power on the remote(comes with tv tuner) you can watch tv and when you off it your computer screen will be displayed.
Btw it comes with RF and AV cable i am not sure about HDMI..
