It's not a rumor it's confirmed. As said before viacom18 has stopped beta updates for voot more than a month back. And they are just waiting for IPL to get over.

Although earlier last week, their promos were having voot name.

Whereas Business Today had stated that there are no plans for merger :

But the colour of Voot was never Blue it was Violet so if that is what they were trying to imply then the colour of the buttons should have become Violet in Jio cinema.
