Recently my jiofibre connection got installed , my router model is JIDU6601.

The problem is sometime devices are not connecting to 2.4Ghz band , it simply says failed to connect..anyone facing similar issue?

Yes, this is known issue. Ask for tech visit and then they'll place request for replacement.

But technician said they have same model router only in our area and few other users also complained but no solution yet, need to wait for next software update hoping it might fix

Read this thread, we had same issue and resolved after router replacement

That was a JioFiber ONT issue. AirFiber has different ONTs. Unless he is able to get a different model ONT, he can not get it resolved.

Since AirFiber has only two models ONT (indoor unit) as it is a new product, it's going to be hard.

Exactly..even the technician said we have this model router only, supplied over all the district and also he said it was working earlier but after some firmware update, issue started and earlier 2.5ghz and 5ghz had separate settings too but after update it got merged

Anyway I have 3 months, if they fix the issue and launch IPTV then fine else I am hoping by that time Airtel will launch its airfibre in my area and then I can move..it has a proper dth system with no dependency on internet , definitely not better than tataplay but atleast better than jio

What if the STB is replaced, will the issue get resolved?

If it's a ONT issue caused by a firmware update, we will need to see if any more people report this same issue

Ironically they claim the router cost is ₹10,000 and the result 👎😂
Meanwhile my 5 years old tenda router works flawlessly and it doesn't has fancy technologies like jio
