This article informs Star India pulled out of the previous IPL media rights auction during the 2nd day. But in the end it had went to secure the rights. So the results on Sunday would confirm a winner.

Base price for digital rights is too high. This time hotstar distributes it's subscription for almost free before the ipl. Otherwise it's subscription would have been very less.

Whatever the bidders wanna do, they can till the start of the auction. After that, no one will know what others are bidding., only bid value will be notified but not the bidder who has bid that. So, until the auction is finished no will know what's going on.

Also, only A & B package's bidding will start on Sunday, so, we might not know who won the rights till Tuesday or Wednesday in the worst cases... Because Package C & D will begin after A& B's auction concludes.
